KA1 VET - "Rumeni" - November 2023

In November 2023, Liceul Tehnologic Forestier continued its remarkable journey as a European leader in vocational education and training by successfully implementing the fifth Erasmus+ KA121 VET project. This initiative, part of the school’s ongoing efforts to foster innovation and collaboration, included a job shadowing mobility program held from October 28th to November 4th, 2023, at the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore “E. Maggia” in Stresa, Italy.

The seven-day program provided Romanian educators with invaluable insights into the Italian education system. Participants engaged in activities that compared Italian and Romanian teaching methodologies, focusing on practical approaches to education. Workshops highlighted the significance of various plant species in rural and urban environments in the Piemonte and Lombardia regions and emphasized their role in environmental conservation. Educators also visited anthropic parks, gaining a deeper appreciation for sustainable practices in landscaping and environmental stewardship.

According to Staicu Gabriela, the school director, the job shadowing experience offered significant improvements to teaching and evaluation methods for students, especially those participating in Erasmus+ projects. The program introduced new techniques for enhancing technical education through hands-on activities, fostering determination, confidence, and curiosity among students and educators alike.

This mobility is part of a broader Erasmus+ initiative for the 2023-2024 school year, which includes two student mobilities to Portugal and Cyprus in April and July 2024. These projects reflect the institution's commitment to preparing students for professional success and equipping teachers with innovative tools to enhance the Romanian educational system.

By continually leveraging Erasmus+ opportunities, Liceul Tehnologic Forestier reinforces its role as a promoter of excellence and inclusion in vocational education, providing lasting benefits for its students, staff, and the wider community.
