KA1 VET - "Vocational training of students with SEN" - Plovdiv, July 2021

In July 2021, the Erasmus+ KA1 VET project “Vocational Training of Students with SEN” brought educators from special education centers in Plovdiv and Kardjali, Bulgaria, to Italy for a transformative exchange of knowledge and practices. The project aimed to enhance vocational training for students with special educational needs (SEN) by sharing expertise and fostering international collaboration.

The visit began in Arona, where the Bulgarian delegation was warmly welcomed by local officials, including Mayor Vincenzo Monti and Councillor Marina Grassani. Hosted by Centro Brum, the exchange focused on sharing good practices in SEN education, with participants emphasizing the importance of collaboration in developing inclusive and effective vocational training programs.

The program also included visits to Isola Madre and Isola Bella, renowned for their breathtaking gardens and landscapes. These sites provided the perfect setting for experts in floriculture and landscaping to gain insights and inspiration. The experience highlighted how vocational education can be enriched through hands-on learning and exposure to best practices in real-world settings.

This mobility project reinforced the value of international cooperation in special education, equipping educators with innovative methods to empower students with SEN and prepare them for meaningful careers. It demonstrated the Erasmus+ program's commitment to inclusivity and lifelong learning for all.
